THIS ROLE

The Customer Technology Consultant role will assist customers by defining the availability of Norvado services. Carry out marketing plans and strategies to increase the use and sale of Norvado services. Respond to customer inquiries on what services will best meet their needs. Interact with customers in person, by phone, email or through chat. Work as part of a team to help customers understand what products and services meet their needs. Work in a fast-paced office environment addressing customers’ needs and processing orders digitally. This position will be based out of our Cable or Phillips, Wisconsin office, but also provides the opportunity to Work from Home if internet speed and home office setup meets the needs of the position.

The above is intended to describe the essential functions of the Customer Technology Consultant. Other duties may be assigned as required by business necessity.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge and skills usually acquired through a minimum of one year in a related field or the equivalent training and/or experience.
  • Two to three years of customer service experience.
  • Computer literacy including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and software.
  • Requires a high level of attention to detail, schedules, and ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and the desire to help and educate our customers.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding company and customer data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Bonus Qualities:

  • Two to three years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of telephone company rates, procedures and service offerings.
  • Basic understanding of rural telephone terminology, subscriber/community concerns, and changes in regulation and the marketplace.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

  • The Customer Technology Consultant reports to the Customer Technology Consultant Supervisor and works closely with all departments at Norvado.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  • Normal office environment.

EQUIPMENT & TOOLS

  • Daily use of computers, telephones, smart devices, calculators, copiers, fax, and printers.

CUSTOMER SERVICE/INTERACTION

  • Daily phone, written, and face-to-face contact with customers, employees, and managers.

OTHER

  • Occasional overnight travel required.
  • Occasional travel by air is required.
  • Occasional travel by vehicle required.
