DESCRIPTION:Northcentral Technical College invites students entering 6th - 8th grade to explore careers in welding\, health\, culinary and information technology during this summer camp. Participate in one or all four days of hands-on activities while also getting a behind-the-scenes tour at area businesses. Cost: $10/ day. Lunch will be provided. MONDAY GET HOOKED ON WELDING | Welding Fab a fish or weld a walleye? Join us as we dive deep into the world of welding by fabricating of a fish. You may get hooked on the wonderful world of welding! There will be sparks\, so dress appropriately: closed-toed and closed-heeled shoes\, long pants\, tie back long hair. TUESDAY HELPING HANDS & CARING HEARTS | Health Experience the excitement of being on a health care team. Practice giving injections\, learn basic CPR skills\, check vitals on a high-fidelity simulator and much more! WEDNESDAY COOKING UP FUN | Culinary Do you have what it takes to be a top chef? Find out when you create a customized pasta salad and make no-bake chocolate chip cookie dough. Taste testing is encouraged! THURSDAY SET YOUR "SITES" ON IT! | Information Technology Show your creativity and build your skills when you design a website using HTML/CSS coding techniques during this hands-on session.
